How can I know Jesus?

Maybe you've heard or read the verse John 3:16:  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." It's probably the most well-known verse in the Bible because it shares so clearly what we call "The Gospel" - the GOOD NEWS of God's love for us.

Simply stated, to know Jesus is to trust that he is God's son and that he can restore you to a full relationship with God, to follow him both in this life and forever! The Bible teaches that he died on the cross to pay the debt for every sin - every time you've fallen short of God's perfection. No good deed could possibly close the gap caused by our sin, but through his grace we can personally receive the gift of his forgiveness and begin a new life following him.  And here's where the news gets really good: Jesus defeated your death when he came back to life! That's why he can offer you eternal life when you place your trust in him!

Here are a few simple steps you can take to start the journey of faith in Jesus:

1) Admit that you need a savior. That you've sinned - fallen short of God's perfection.

2) Believe Jesus is who the Bible says he is - God in the flesh - the Son of the Father.

3) Confess that you are putting your trust in Jesus for the salvation of your soul and the transformation of your life. That you're committing to live differently in light of your new relationship with Jesus.

4) Get connected with a Bible believing, Jesus worshiping local church so you can grow on your journey with him. This step is really important so you continually get closer to God. Faith Fellowship would be thrilled to have you as part of our community!
