Sleep in Heavenly Peace is looking for volunteers to help build beds on Saturday, September 13th from 9am to 12:30pm in Dorchester. We will be building beds, creating sawdust and making memories along the way as we join other chapters during Bunks Across America events! Our goal is 40 beds for this day. Eighty (80) volunteers are needed to make this build successful and for enough beds to get our local kids through the winter. No experience is necessary - we’ll train you. Kids are also welcome to help!

Join us for a whimsical evening filled with purpose, inspiration, and the magic of community. Your presence—and your support—can help open the door to new beginnings. Feeling adventurous? Guests are welcome (but not required) to come dressed as their favorite Wonderland character—whether you’re a Mad Hatter, a Queen of Hearts, or simply curious.

If your family or Small Group is looking for an opportunity to serve others, Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack is a great way to do so.  It will take place on Thurs., April 24th through Sat., April 26th at Zion Community Church here in Marshfield. This event brings groups together for a fun activity but it also impacts people’s lives and the lives that are saved. This has served as a great compassion ministry to introduce individuals in our community to the love of Jesus through helping others. This year they’re looking for 894 volunteers to serve 1.5 to 2 hour shifts over the 3 days with the goal of packing 147,000 meals!

You can sign up to pack meals or to donate to the Mobile Pack at www.MarshfieldFMSC.com. If you would like to donate to FMSC you can also do that via the website or bring a check to the Mobile Pack and give it to one of the coordinators of the event.

Compassion in Action is a local faith based non-profit organization with a passion to reach out to the poor, the needy, the hurting and the victims of disaster.  Their goal is to bring hope to the weary and assist in re-building lives as we provide physical, spiritual and emotional support. They are planning a Hurricane Helene Relief Trip from Nov. 16th through the 24th, heading to North Carolina to help with clean up and other needs.

Cost is $350 per person with travel/lodging or $200 per person if you choose to meet them at the ministry site there. Age limit is 12-15 years old with a parent, ages 16-18 with a chaperone.
