At Run for Hope, the competition is not for the fastest completion time! Instead, runners will be competing to see who can raise the most support from their friends and family. Registration fees cover only a small portion of our goal, which this year is $56,000. Each runner is encouraged to raise $1,000 to help end domestic abuse and drug addiction. For every $100 that you raise, you will receive one entry into the drawing for the Wisconsin Dells Waterpark Package! Top fundraisers will win prizes that have been donated by businesses in our community.

This is a peer-to-peer fundraising event and kids can raise funds too and win prizes. Top 3 teams will will a pizza party. Top participants who fundraise will win a prize/gift basket. Top male, female and youth runners will win a prize!

House of Mercy, the only shelter for women and children in Clark County located in Loyal, Wis., is having a fundraising dinner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (1813 Black River Rd., Neillsville) on Sunday, December 7th. Join us for dinner and entertainment to support the housing and support services for women and children at the House of Mercy. Doors open at 4:30pm, dinner is at 5pm and a live auction will take place after dinner. Enjoy a performance by the Clark County Male Chorus Group.

The Shirley’s House of Hope ill be held Thursday, November 6th at 5:30pm at Hotel Marshfield.  Watch as local area chefs FACE OFF in a culinary competition and race against the clock to create the best dish out of a “surprise meat” for a panel of judges!  And YOU get to be the judge, too! All guests will taste and evaluate each contender's appetizer to determine which chef will receive the “2025 People's Choice Award for Best Appetizer in Marshfield.”

Each chef will win one of four awards: “Best Presentation,” “Best Showmanship,” “Most Creative,” and “Best Flavor.”  But only ONE chef will win the 2025 People’s Choice Award for Best Appetizer.  This year, our panel of (local) celebrity judges will include:  Everett Mueller, City of Marshfield Fire Department Chief; Nicolas Kumm, Marshfield Utilities General Manager; and Natasha Tompkins, City of Marshfield District 3 Common Council Member. 

Our goal is to raise $98,000 for our shelter program.  Tickets for this event are currently for sale and can be purchased on our website at www.shirleyshouseofhope.org.  The event typically sells out, so don’t wait!

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is looking for volunteers to help build beds on Saturday, September 13th from 9am to 12:30pm in Dorchester. We will be building beds, creating sawdust and making memories along the way as we join other chapters during Bunks Across America events! Our goal is 40 beds for this day. Eighty (80) volunteers are needed to make this build successful and for enough beds to get our local kids through the winter. No experience is necessary - we’ll train you. Kids are also welcome to help!
