This event is an opportunity for people responsible for children and young adults in out-of-home care. If you are a parent, grandparent, guardian, social worker, or counselor who could use space to be refreshed and supported alongside others doing the same work, you're invited to join them for an evening of self-care.
The evening will include: planting activity with nurturing affirmations, caregiver connection group activity, time to de-stress and socialize, refreshing snacks and beverages, and giveaways. Olivia Batien, licensed clinical social worker with Children’s Wisconsin, will facilitate the evening.
You’ll have a chance to get your hands in the soil and plant something to take home as a reminder to nurture yourself. Watercolor paints, puzzles, and playing cards will also be available to help you enjoy an evening without responsibilities.
Cost is $20, but if it is prohibitive, scholarships are available upon request. Tickets are available at www.millcreekgardencenter.com or by calling 715.591.2000.
This event is sponsored in part by Everyday Counseling, Marshfield, a private practice owned by Liz Cravillion, LPC-IT.
