Welcomed is a family advocacy ministry surrounding vulnerable children, and the families who support them, with caring communities. They exist to facilitate the establishment of Care Communities for foster families by empowering local networks of Christians to care for foster families.
On September 24th at 6pm, “A Night With Welcomed”, a fundraising banquet will be taking place at the Food & Farm Exploration Center in Plover, WI. They are looking for people to host or sponsor a table at the event. Register by September 14th. Tickets are $55/person and $320/table. For more information and to register, visit www.welcomed.or/tablesponsorhost.
Welcomed Ministry focuses on assisting foster parents who are standing in the gap to give foster children the love and support they require, supporting and equipping the child and family in this challenging and difficult work. Many of these children have not only been torn from their relationship with their parents, but they bring challenges related to the trauma that many of them have experienced.
Welcomed coordinates Christian Care Communities around these families as a solution to keep them fostering stronger. The Care Communities provide them with support in the areas of meals, childcare, child mentoring, and prayer. This keeps families fostering longer, and will encourage others to become foster parents when they see that the Church will support them.
