LET’S GO!
We want to be a church that gets outside our walls to love and serve our community and draw them to the Gospel. So on Sunday, August 16th, we are launching another FAITH IN ACTION SUNDAY. Immediately following a SINGLE brief 20 minute service at 10AM with a couple songs and a short devotion from Pastor Rob, we will break off into teams and disperse to various sites around Marshfield, worshipping God through the use of our hands and feet as we serve together out in our community.
Nearly all of our projects are family-friendly! Those that are limited to adult volunteers only will be noted. Below is a list of projects that you and your family can sign up for:
First Choice Pregnancy Resource Center - Cleaning projects inside & outside of building (3 people needed)
Habitat for Humanity - Nailing on sheeting & roof decking (tools provided but you can bring your own tools, if you’d prefer) - for those 16+ yrs only (10 people needed)
Hannah Center - Tree/bush trimming, weeding, raking kid’s sandbox/play area (2 people needed)
Marshfield Parks/Braem Park - Clean up litter (20 people) - FULL!
Personal Development Center - Wipe down toys, clean windows, organize, look over bikes that have been donated (10 people needed)
Prayer Walk Team - Praying in downtown Marshfield (17 people needed)
Ronald McDonald House - Meal and/or painting project, cleaning - FULL!
Shirley’s House of Hope - Fence staining, weeding, cleaning & making cookies with the ladies (8 people needed)
FF Deep Cleaning - Cleaning projects beyond weekly projects, specifically for people with mobility concerns - FULL!
Childcare will be available for kids 0-3yrs old, but families with kids that are 4+ are encouraged to bring them with to help serve at one of the many family-friendly project sites.
SPECIAL NOTE: If you have children being cared for at the church, please plan to be back at the church at 12pm to pick them up. Thank you!
